Welcome to our little website here at Natural Dwellers.
If you have no clue who we are, I recommend checking out our blog.
I go by Carl Wright here on the site. It’s not my real name by the way, but it is actually a combination of two people I really respect. One is Carl Jung with everything he wrote on the Hero’s Journey (can’t be a homesteader without a little Thoreau-like love of literature eh?) and the last name comes from my favorite teacher’s last name back in high school.
Why Natural Dwellers?
The truth is, I’ve always had a big interest in homesteading, off the grid living, sustainability and everything in between. There is just something visceral about all of these subjects that speak to something in me.
It is my hope that it becomes one of the first places you come to when you want to learn more about homesteading. Whether you want to know about beekeeping, the best generator to use in winter.
Hence, why I’ve built
It is my hope that it becomes one of the first places you come to when you want to learn more about homesteading. Whether you want to know about beekeeping, the best generator to use in winter, or just what the heck your chickens are wanting you to do, I want this site to be there for you as you go on your own journey as a homesteader.
It can be TOUGH to stay up to date with all the amazing technologies and gadgets and strategies that are coming out nowadays that can make your life a whole lot easier as someone living off-the-grid (or partially off-the-grid).
The cool thing about it this lifestyle in the modern era though, is you really don’t have to sacrifice any of the luxuries of modern living to create a sustainable, joy-giving and maybe even a profitable homestead (goat milk anyone?)
We’re on the lookout at all times for new ways to take better care of our environment. You’d be shocked at how many cool things you can create (and useful things) simply from recycling what you may have thrown away in a previous life.
We want you to live a good life. And no that doesn’t mean go out and buy everything under the sun. Living a good life also means living frugally as well as responsibly. Those two things don’t mean you can’t have more than you ever thought possible either.
The last thing we focus on is this whole idea of prepping. Look, we’re not doomsday preppers. Far from it actually. We believe the world in many ways has never been better (especially with you here!) That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be prepared though!
What’s In It For You?
Well, everything here is free to read, so what’s NOT in it for you? 🙂
If you love everything I said above and you want to go on this journey of learning with me, then come read our reviews, guides and so on that our writers create (remember them? The people that are smarter than me.)
Together, we can make a better world, a more prepared world, and live a great life all the while our homesteads grow into big beautiful and bountiful harvests.
Let’s get this show started 🙂
